| Product Comparison In total resurfacing arthroplasty, head size often dictates the final implant size. Most surgeons prefer to use a larger head rather than removing extra bone from the femoral head and taking a chance on notching the neck. This is why Wright designed the CONSERVE® PLUS System with so many head options. Within the system Wright offers 11 femoral head options, where Smith & Nephew (BHR) only offers 6 and Corin (CORMET) only offers 5. Additionally, the CONSERVE® PLUS femoral heads are available in 2mm increments whereas the others jump in 4mm.
