GRAFTJACKET® Regenerative Tissue Matrix - Ulcer Repair

Use of a Human Collagen Matrix to Allow the Physiological Repair of Challenging Chronic Wounds

INTRODUCTION
GRAFTJACKET® Matrix is a unique single-application human collagen matrix processed specifically to aid in repair of difficult (down to tendon and bone) chronic wounds. The tissue matrix is carefully processed to preserve the three-dimensional and biochemical make-up of the material in order to ensure that the graft is well received by the body once implanted.

The following case demonstrates the effective use of the GRAFTJACKET® Matrix in a difficult chronic wound.

PATIENT PROFILE
The patient is a 33 year-old insulin dependent diabetic.
Abscess due to blunt trauma. By 3 weeks the wound had closed approximately 90%. After 4 weeks, the wound had completely closed and the patient was able to return to weightlifting and cardiovascular exercise on a treadmill.
