PATH® Minimally Invasive Total Hip Arthroplasty
Typical hip replacement surgery requires six weeks to three months for patients to fully recover from what has been, historically, a more traumatic surgical procedure. Patients are now able to shorten their recovery to a matter of days, due to advances in implant technology, combined with Wright’s PATH® Technique, which is designed as a soft tissue-sparing approach to surgery.

You may have thought that minimally-invasive surgery only pertains to the smaller length of incision that a surgeon is able to operate within. That is only partly true. Wright’s PATH® Technique is truly minimally-invasive, because it uses an approach that spares most soft tissues. When it comes to a quick recovery, what goes on underneath the incision is every bit as important as the size of the incision.
