The PERFECTAŽ Plasma Spray Stems incorporate a rough, closed pore structure that offers the type of mechanical interlock necessary for immediate rigid fixation. Through its application, the plasma spray process does not alter stem fatigue strength.
The PERFECTAŽ Plasma Spray Stems are manufactured from titanium alloy, the material of choice in press-fit femoral stem arthroplasty.
The porosity of the PERFECTAŽ Plasma spray coating increases as the coating thickness increases, offering aggressive implant/interface stability critical to fixation.
