LINK® MP™ Reconstruction Hip Stem

The LINK® MP™ Reconstruction Hip Stem is a modular hip stem designed to be implanted into the prepared femur as an assembly. The design helps the surgeon to achieve the best possible initial stability and long term fixation within the distal portion of femoral canal. The proximal design of the MP Hip Stem provides the ability to restore the leg length, neck offset and version of each individual patient.
The MP™ Stem is indicated in revision hip surgery to help replace voids in the bone or to repair a fracture around or below an existing prosthesis. It is also an excellent device to use in conjunction with a proximal bulk allograft. However, the versatility of the MP™ Hip Stem enables it to be considered for certain rare primary situations to help compensate for dysplasia or insufficient bone. The device is also indicated for many oncological total hip procedures to help replace bone loss deficiencies. The MP™ Hip Stem is designed for use without bone cement and is cleared for such use with the U.S. FDA.
The Stems are manufactured from Tilastan® Titanium Alloy (Ti6AIV Eli) and have 70-micron Microporous texture. The Head/Neck Segments are also manufactured from Titanium Alloy. Spacers and Locking Screws are manufactured from Cobalt-Chromium Alloy or Aluminum Oxide Ceramic material.
