ADVANCE STATURE™

Designed for patients with narrow femurs.

Narrow Femur vs. Normal Femur The ADVANCE® Medial-Pivot and Double-High Knees are designed to reproduce normal motion and anatomy. However, determining correct femoral size is difficult in men or women with a narrow distal femur.16 An implant that fits front to back may overhang from side to side.16 To prevent overhang, a smaller implant with a shorter side to side dimension may be utilized.17 Respectively, this can lead to soft (non-bone) tissue interference or instability when bending the knee during weight bearing such as decending stairs.

Narrow FemurADVANCE STATURE™ Femoral Components (represented in teal) are designed to accommodate those male or female femora with a larger front to back dimension than side to side. This helps ensure that patients will receive the best implant fit possible.
