The GUARDIAN® Limb Salvage System

For a child who has had a REPIPHYSIS® Implant, the GUARDIAN® Limb Salvage System is an excellent choice for an endoprosthesis once the child's bones have stopped growing.  The GUARDIAN® System offers five different products:  the Distal Femur, the Proximal Femur, the Proximal Tibia, the Total Femur, and the Revision Hinge.

The GUARDIAN® Distal Femur consists of a rotating hinge design.

The GUARDIAN® Proximal Tibia has a resurfacing femur design which allows for only 28mm of femoral bone resection.  The proximal tibia has a low profile and small diameter to allow for a gastroc muscle flap and better wound closure.  It is available in a wide range of sizes that promote optimal prosthesis fit.

The GUARDIAN® Proximal Femur accepts cobalt chrome or aluminum/ceramic femoral heads.  It is fully compatible with all Wright Medical Technology acetabular cup systems which include ceramic, metal, or poly liners.  Wright's new BFHTM Technology as well as the ceramic LINEAGE® Acetabular System both offer optimal results when paired with a GUARDIAN® Proximal Femur.

Like the Proximal Femur implant, the GUARDIAN® Total Femur will accept any of Wright Medical Technology's femoral heads and acetabular cup systems.

The GUARDIAN® Revision Hinge offers a resurfacing femur design that allows for only 28mm of femoral bone resection.  It is also available in a wide range of sizes.

The GUARDIAN® Limb Salvage System offers operative flexibility, component modularity, and complete instrumentation and trials.  Overnight delivery is available to meet critical demands, and implants can be customized to meet special sizing needs.
