Reva's corner:
Just remember it is normal to be nervous. Ask any questions before or after
your surgery you want to be answered. Write them down so you will have them
ready when your physician makes rounds.
After the paperwork is completed, your nurse will review your personal
health history and your home medications with you. It's important that you
share any recent changes in your health.
You'll also be asked to take off your clothes and remove all jewelry, piercings,
dentures, and contact lenses or glasses. Then you'll be given a hospital gown
and assigned to a bed in the preoperative holding area.
