Hand
Wright assumed a pioneering role in orthopaedics over 40 years ago when it introduced
a new silicone technology for small joint implants. The SWANSON devices offered a solution to a
long standing orthopaedic challenge – degenerative arthritis of the hand, specifically fingers.
Over the decades, the SWANSON implants became a preferred choice for finger and carpal
arthroplasty.
Wright continues to research innovative technologies that will provide anatomical implants to
restore function to patients suffering from hand trauma and/or degenerative arthritis.
