Case No. 101 Bone Cyst: Tibia
CASE STUDY | Pre-op, 1 month, 3 month, and 9 month radiographs.

Pre-Op 1 Month 3 Months 9 Months

SIXTEEN YEAR-OLD MALE
with painful benign bone cyst of the right proximal tibia measuring approx. 6 x 3cm. Debrided and grafted with approximately 30cc of PRO-DENSE® graft. The one month follow-up exhibits slight resorption of the graft and the patient was pain free and independent activity level.

The three month image shows further graft resorption and apparent dense bone regenerate (arrows). The CT scans suggests a "halo" of dense regenerated bone surrounding the residual graft. The 9 month radiograph demonstrates complete resorption of the graft and dense bone regeneration. Interestingly, the regenerate closely matches the margins of the graft at the one month time point. It is expected that this new bone will be remodeled within twelve months.

CASE STUDY | 3 month CT scan, selected slices proximal to distal.
