Case No. 106 Bone Cyst: Calcaneus
CASE STUDY | Pre-op radiograph.

Pre-Op

TWENTY-TWO YEAR-OLD FEMALE
with large solid aneurysmal bone cyst of the right calcaneus. Initially presented with pain. Non-weight bearing for first eight weeks post-op, then weight-bearing as tolerated in walking cast for four weeks. The three month images clearly demonstrate primary resorption of the graft and newly regenerated dense bone surrounding the residual graft.

At five months the patient was full-weight-bearing in normal shoe-wear with no pain. The one year x-ray demonstrates continued bone formation and consolidation.

CASE STUDY | Immediate post-op, 3 month and 1 year radiographs.

Immediate Post-Op 3 Months 1 Year
