Case No. 303: PVNS: Wrist
CASE STUDY | Pre-op.

FOURTEEN YEAR-OLD FEMALE
with pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) of the left wrist involving the capitate and scaphoid. The soft tissue mass was resected and currettage of the affected bone was carried out followed by grafting with approximately 3cc of PRO-DENSE® graft. At five months the patient has excellent ROM (dorsiflexion to about 30 degrees, palmar flexion to about 60 degrees) with no pain.

The graft appears to have been remodeled in the capitellum and scaphoid with no progressive joint space narrowing or evidence of progression or recurrence of the lesion.

CASE STUDY | 2 week, 2 month and 5 month radiographs.
