Case No. 506 Lipoma: Calcaneus
CASE STUDY | 1 week and 3 month radiographs.

1 Week   3 Months

THIRTY-NINE YEAR-OLD MALE
presented with an intraosseous lipoma of the left calcaneus. Twelve cc of PRO-DENSE® graft was used to fill the lesion. The patient was non-weight bearing for the first month, and in a brace for the first 3 months. The patient returned to full activity at 3 months. New bone formation was detected at 4 weeks. Radiographs at 3, 6 and 7 months show a progressive resorption of the graft followed by formation of new bone.

No complications were reported, although the patient does have persistent pain secondary to plantar fasciitis.

CASE STUDY | 6 month and 7 month radiographs.
