GRAFTJACKET® Matrix
If the musculotendinous junction and remaining tendon of the rotator cuff muscle can be reattached to near normal (10-15mm) position, then it is possible that an "augmentation graft", not "interposition graft", can be incorporated into the musculotendinous bone complex such that rotator cuff healing and fixation can be enhanced. GRAFTJACKET® Matrix Scaffold is composed of biological substrate components including collagen types I, III, IV, and VII, elastin, chondroitin sulfate, proteoglycans, hyaluronic acid, laminin, tenacin, and fibroblast growth factor. Patented processing technology preserves this biochemical matrix and results in an extracellular framework that is completely intact. This intact matrix, complete with preserved vascular channels, functions to support rapid revascularization and cellular repopulation.
