Watch VideoLike many of us, Jeff is a self declared 'sports fanatic' and has enjoyed playing sports like tennis, cycling, golf and squash his entire life. He was even ranked nationally as an amateur squash player in his twenties. As a competitive athlete, it was devastating to Jeff when severe pain in his knee started keeping him on the sidelines - in sports and more and more in his normal life.
The problems began when he tore his meniscus during a tennis match when he was just 23 years old. Not knowing the extent of his injury, Jeff simply went home and iced his knee. Seven years later, he tore his ACL. Jeff underwent four procedures to repair the damage to his meniscus and ACL. Despite the surgeries, Jeff was still in pain and his ability to play sports of any kind lessened, seemingly with each passing day.
To make matters worse, he developed severe osteoarthritis in his right knee. Jeff often woke at night with throbbing pain. He was unable to play sports with his teenage daughter and carrying his baby girl around the shopping mall was out of the question. Moreover, the damaged knee started to trespass into his professional life, inhibiting his ability to travel for his business. Jeff could not believe he was in his thirties and was often forced to use a cane to get around.
Jeff knew he was too young to be in so much pain and wanted to restore his active lifestyle. Past surgeries hadn't solved the problem, there had to be something that someone could do to help. Jeff began researching knee replacement options and consulting with various doctors. Just three days after surgery Jeff was able to walk with assistance. It was not long before he was back on the golf course with his wife, and playing tennis or riding bikes with his daughters. Jeff has experienced an enormous improvement with his range of motion, ability to bend his knee and strength - much better than before the surgery - in fact, better than he can remember. Most importantly he is now able to carry his three year old daughter without debilitating pain; actually without any pain. As Jeff says, "I have my life back"
