ADVANCE STATURE® Surgical Technique

Note: Proper surgical techniques are necessarily the responsibility of the medical professional. The following guidelines are furnished only as recommended techniques. Each surgeon must evaluate the appropriateness of the techniques based on his or her own medical training and experience.

Follow the standard ADVANCE® Knee femoral and tibial preparation technique with exception of the sulcus (patellar track) preparation.

ADVANCE STATURE® Sulcus Preparation

  1. Preoperative templating may determine need for ADVANCE STATURE® components.
  2. After chamfer resections, the standard sulcus preparation guide is lateralized on the femur to reacquire the natural Q-angle (Figure 1). The lateral edges of the guide represents the lateral side of the implant (Figure 2). If the medial edge of the guide overhangs distally (A) the corresponding ADVANCE STATURE® sulcus guide should be used (Figure 3).
  3. The ADVANCE STATURE® femoral trial is placed on the femur (Figure 4).
